Kim's Place is for adults with special needs who are in a gray area. This includes Individuals with disabilities, particularly those whose needs are not fully met or who experience difficulties navigating the system due to challenges in accessing appropriate support and services because they are in an inaccessible geographical location that is not conducive to their physical and developmental needs.
The gray area concept refers to ambiguous situations faced by individuals with disabilities, especially adults, who may not be considered "disabled enough" for formal support, or whose needs are not clearly defined as such, leading to frustration and challenges in accessing the resources they so desperately need. These Individuals often times do not have the means or ability to live on their own without significant financial, physical and/or emotional support.
