Kim’s Place is dedicated to eliminating barriers for individuals and families navigating the "gray area." We provide direct access to essential supplies, nutritional support, and community connection—completely free of charge.
Our services run entirely on community care and shared resources. If you would like to contribute:
Donate Supplies: We accept high-quality, functional tools, independent living aids, and non-perishable pantry items.
Financial Contributions: Direct funding goes entirely toward restocking the pantry and maintaining lending hardware—never toward administrative paychecks.
Proper nutrition is a cornerstone of health and independence, but rising costs can stretch tight budgets to the breaking point. Our community-supported Food Pantry ensures that no one in our network goes without access to fresh, healthy groceries.
Supporting Autonomy: In alignment with our benefit protection models, our pantry is structured to support individual grocery choices, helping residents maintain their independent household status for SNAP benefits.
What We Stock: Shelf-stable staples, dietary-specific items, and household essentials.
Access: Available to our residents and connected families to fill the gaps when monthly budgets run short.
Navigating daily life and maintaining independence shouldn't be stalled by a lack of specialized tools or equipment. Our Supply Lending Closet allows residents and local families to borrow essential items on a flexible, rotating basis.
What We Provide: Daily living aids, specialized maintenance tools, independent living equipment, and adaptive resources.
How It Works: Items can be checked out and utilized for as long as needed, then returned to the closet to support the next family.
Our Goal: To eliminate the high out-of-pocket costs of specialized hardware, keeping independence affordable.
No one should have to figure out life in the gray area alone. We provide a space for genuine connection, shared experiences, and collaborative problem-solving.
Life-Skills Mentorship: Peer-driven guidance on managing daily household workflows, organization, and independent living habits.
Cooperative Problem Solving: A supportive network where residents and families can brainstorm solutions to complex state system logistics, sharing what works.
Genuine Belonging: Shifting the focus from isolation to community, ensuring every individual has a reliable team standing right beside them.
