• The Role: Provide meaningful 1-on-1 engagement that enriches our residents' daily lives. This is a versatile role where you become a partner in both fun and fundamental skills.

• The Activities:

  • Creative Arts & Crafts: Lead or assist in sensory-friendly art projects, from finger painting and clay molding to holiday decorations.

  • Kitchen Collaboration: Work side-by-side with residents on simple cooking tasks, like stirring batter, decorating cookies, or learning how to prepare a healthy snack.

  • Interactive Play: Engage in board games, puzzles, and challenges that foster cognitive growth and social turn-taking.

  • Shared Stories & Media: Read together or enjoy a favorite movie, discussing the characters and themes in a way that respects their perspective.

• The Impact: You provide more than just supervision; you provide friendship and mentorship. By participating in these activities together, you help our young adults build confidence in the kitchen, express themselves through art, and feel a deep sense of social belonging.

• The Role: Help us transform standard bedrooms into "safe harbor" sanctuaries. You will style rooms based on themes like space, nature, or favorite animals to match each resident's unique personality.

• The Collaborative Twist: This is a team effort! You will sit with the resident to look at "vision boards" or color swatches, helping them express their preferences. During the decorating process, you’ll work side-by-side with them—letting them help place stickers, choose where a pillow goes, or decide which poster to hang.

• The Impact: Beyond creating a dignified, personalized space for decompression, you are giving our residents a voice and a sense of ownership over their own home.

The Role: We are looking for "handy" volunteers to help with furniture assembly, safety mounting, and basic home repairs.

The Mentoring Twist: For our high-functioning young adults, this is more than just a repair—it’s a learning moment. We invite you to act as a skills mentor, allowing residents to shadow you, hand you tools, and learn the basics of home maintenance under your guidance.
